Program

VORBRENNER is a contemporary art platform that promotes process-oriented work across all disciplines and genres. It offers short-term opportunities for collaboration for both collectives and individual artists in search of new insights and contemporary forms of expression that engage with an interdisziplinary concept of art and science. The focus is on a movement that is curious, experimental, researching, and developing, that welcomes the unfinished, the paradoxical, and the fragmentary. For exploratory trials of such nature, VORBRENNER provides the BRUX premises along with infrastructure and financial resources.

"I am outside of it in the land of NOPE."

Polyphrenic Creatures

Polyphrenic Creatures
18.-29.09.2018

As part of the Vorbrenner Festival, the Polyphrenic Creatures collective invites the audience into a realm of thought that drifts through the city, where abandoned ideas of progress are rediscovered and reshaped into tools for action. Architecture and everyday transitional spaces become open fields of imagination. Neglected spots are reclaimed and transformed into temporary, communal spaces where people can converge and gather. Through an audio-visual and performative process of “re_ordering,” Polyphrenic Creatures transfigure public spaces into vibrant sites where the boundaries between dream and reality begin to merge.
